To give them the agency to make their own decisions. To be available if they ask for advice but to not fight for control over their lives and their choices. To see that no matter what they decide to do or not do, it will all be ok. To realize that my way is not the only way or even the best way. Once I removed myself from trying to direct their lives, I was then able to just enjoy them and support them. I could show up with peace and love and that is a more fun place to be.
